Scott Geoffrion (Dodge Dakota), right lane:  7.747/173.74, .415 R/T -- winner

The Dodge Dakotas won only one race strictly on performance, in Dallas. Six wins were on holeshot advantages, and two were when the Chevy S-10s red-lighted.

LINGENFELTER: "I staged first and I brought the motor up and he (Geoffrion) didn't come in right away. Our Chevy S-10 truck creeped about three or four inches. I caught it and then I didn't realize that I had red-lit. I only red-lit by two thousandths of a second. When it's dark like this you react better. That was it. Geoffrion red-lit the run before when he brought the motor up. He didn't catch it, we did. I'm ready for next year, I'm eager for that. We've really been waiting for next year (wh en a 12-race series is run for points)."

HAAS: "I didn't have a truck today (it was shipped Saturday night to Detroit for a GM function). I was supporting John all the way. I was really hoping we could win. I get more nervous standing by than I do in the truck. I missed not running today. I can't wait until next year when we get into full competition. I want to thank all the Chevrolet people, the Chevy S-10 brand team in particular, for choosing my team to be part of the Pro Stock Truck racing program. I'm looking forward to being in the winner's circle many times next year."
