Anderson wants Columbus Pro Stock title, again
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Greg Anderson likes racing at National Trail Raceway in Columbus, Ohio. Last year he took his Vegas General Construction Pontiac to the winner's circle at this event. This year at the 39th annual Pontiac Excitement Nationals Anderson would like to drive his Grand Am to victory at his sponsors' event.
"I feel good about Columbus," said Anderson of Charlotte, NC. "This race track has been good to me in the last couple years. This season we are racing a Pontiac, and you always want to do well at your sponsors' race.
"We are also debuting our second car at this race. Jason Line will be driving the KB Racing Pontiac Grand Am. This will be the first race that this team will have to pull double duty, but I think we are up for the challenge.
"Our plan is to use the data we collect off the second car to get us dialed into the track faster. That way we will not spend so much time fighting the racetrack, and will give us a chance to try different things.
"It is our sponsors race. We are debuting a new car. If that was not enough we will also have all of our families here with us. Ken (team owner Ken Black) will have his Dad, his son, and his grandson here this weekend. So we will have four generations of Black's, and about 20 other assorted family members here to with us in the pits. That is a lot of pressure.
"As nerve wracking as that sounds. If we achieve our goal and win the race, it could be a pretty awesome Sunday night. I know that this Vegas General Construction is going to give it everything we have to complete that goal."
