Coughlin Goes to Quarterfinals; Swaps Places with Connolly in Points

COMMERCE, Ga., April 29, 2007 -- Bravo! Brands Inc. Who would've predicted Slammers Ultimate Milk Pro Stock teammates Jeg Coughlin and Dave Connolly would meet the same fate Sunday in the Southern Nationals at Atlanta Dragway?

Each driver, noted for his  quick reaction times and ability to leave the
starting line first, was  eliminated via a hole shot.  Connolly was eliminated in
the first round by  Kurt Johnson who got off the starting line first and
drove to the  win.

Coughlin's yellow and black Slammers Chevy Cobalt took a first-round win over Greg Stanfield (6.665 seconds at 206.83 mph to a 6.721 at 206.04) before suffering the hole-shot loss to Richie Stevens in the quarterfinals. Stevens' reaction was .011-second to Coughlin's .046 and led to the decision, 6.703 at 206.42 to 6.680 at 207.02.

Coughlin was succinct in his race-day summary:

"We just got beat on the 'tree and  couldn't get around him on the other
end," he said.  "Everybody on the team  did a nice job. I'm not hanging my head,
just ready to regroup and see what we  can do to come up with as good an
opportunity as we can when we go to St.  Louis (May 4-6)."

Coughlin had a very consistent qualifying  performance.  He was sixth after
the first run and third overall in the  next three.  He moved around Connolly
into third place in POWERade Series  points, 371-363.
