When Gary Densham and the Team NEC/Auto Club of So. Calif. pull into Columbus, Ohio this weekend for the Pontiac Excitement Nationals, fans can expect to see Densham at his best.
"Our Dodge Avenger Funny Car has been so consistant this year running 5.0s, It's our turn to win," says Gary.
The team just took delivery of a new state of the art transporter which will allow them to work under much better conditions.
Says Densham " This new trailer is the shot in the arm our team has needed. With our ability to qualify well this year and the addition of this new expanded work area and the latest computer equipment, a trip to the winners circle is pretty darn close."
The team has qualified well in the past two races only to have their weekend shortned by first round losses due to too much or too little traction.
"It's just plain bad luck that has kept us from winning. But I have a feeling that our luck is about to turn around" says Densham with that Chesire Cat like grin. Maybe he knows something we don't?
