BAYTOWN, TX.- Bruce Litton is a driver that believes in taking care of business in the early going and letting his work stand on its on. That's exactly what transpired as the 43-year old, driver of the Wix Filters presented by the Top Dragster Driving Experience Top Fuel Dragster holds onto the 10th spot in a 15-car field after two rounds of qualifying at the NHRA O'Reilly Nationals in Baytown, Tx., located East of Houston.

Litton was careful not to get greedy in the fourth stop of his ten planned appearances on the 2000 NHRA Winston tour.

"There's no sense in going out there and taking a chance of hurting our stuff when we don't have to," explained Litton. "I want to be competitive in this sport and part of making it to that status is to not let your ego get in the way of your means. We achieved our objective and that was to gain a respectable run in raceday conditions."

Litton made a clean pass down the Houston Raceway Park racing surface as he sped to a 4.776/285.33, which was just .004 out of ninth.

It was just last week that Litton claimed his second career Top Fuel title at the IHRA Holley Spring Nationals in Rockingham, NC.

He has two more shots in qualifying on Saturday.

The Top Dragster Driving Experience has retained Litton's team to carry out their marketing program with WIX Filters. Top Dragster Driving Experience President Joel Collins feels the triangle marketing partnership between WIX Filters, his company and Litton's team provides a future example for other teams aspiring to run Top Fuel.

Wix Filters stands as one of the World's top filtration companies and was founded in 1939. Wix manufactures quality products for the automotive, heavy-duty, agricultural, industrial, and specialty filter markets, including oil, air, fuel, cabin interior, and hydraulic filters. In addition to the Wix brand, they manufacture filters for major aftermarket companies and some of the largest OEM's. You will find their top quality, high performance filters on everything from passenger cars and light trucks to farm and construction equipment, industrial air cleaners, and Top Fuel dragsters.
