Jeg and Troy looking forward to tomorrow

Troy was the first of the two identical looking Jeg's machines to take on the quartermile battlefield on the second day of qualifying. Troy improved by running a 6.996 at 198.03 mph. He moved in to the No. 28 position.

"We are starting to go in the right direction and the car is beginning to respond to some of the changes that we have been making," said Troy.

Jeg also improved in the second session. He crossed the beams at the big end with a 6.931 at 199.26 mph. The run was good enough to move him and his Jeg's Mail Order Chevrolet Cavalier into the No. 11 slot.

"We are making good runs. We aren't turning the world up side down. Our approach has been to make small changes and we are starting to see the pay off," said Jeg.

Troy ran a 7.050 at 198.12 mph. The run was not an improvement and he slipped to the No. 33 spot.

"We are working hard to give this Jeg's machine the setup that it wants. We are just having a hard time understanding the the language," stated Troy.

In the third session Jeg continued his trend of improving. He ran a 6.927 at 199.29 mph and moved into the No. 14 position.

"We are making small changes to the car that are showing results. We are confident that we can get the Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavalier back into the top half in the morning session on Sunday. We have learned a lot about this track and it certainly has some new characteristics that we are getting a better handle on with each lap," explained Jeg.
