Treble ready for Sunday in Chicago

Chicago, Ill -- Saturday Pit Report:

Craig Treble and the Matco Tools Pro Stock Bike team are ready to race in Chicago. " We made good decisions today and are very happy with how the bike responded to our tune up. We were only a few thousandths from being fast of the session, and we know with what's left in our Vance & Hines motor, we are ready to race on Sunday." Eliminations for the NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals will at 11 am, pre race ceremonies starting at 10 am.

In two qualifying sessions on Saturday, the Matco Tools Bike put up a best of 7.143 @ 185.79, good for the no. 3 spot on the NHRA POWERade eliminations ladder. "We let the wind get to us in the first session today, but we learned a few things anyway. In the last session, we ran the left lane and the Matco Tools Bike went nice and straight, it was a smooth and strong run. A few more small things tonight and we are ready to go dragracing."

Treble is currently fifth in NHRA POWERade Pro Stock Bike points, and will share one side of the Chicago eliminations ladder with two of the four riders ahead of him. "I would love to face one of the leaders first round tomorrow because I need to take them out as early as I can in eliminations. All we can do now is try to go rounds and take them as I get them. We will be racing Andrew Hines on the Chopper tomorrow morning, and I know the kid is hungry to win, so we will be taking him very seriously."
