"It was just a good, general day of qualifying," said Tom Bradford. He started off quick on the Balbayis Asset Consulting/Hal's Speedshop Buell and improved further in round 2 of Pro Stock Motorcycle qualifying at the NHRA event in Joliet, Illinois. "We're rock solid, so we're feeling pretty good. It appears we've gotten our consistency back."

"We were encouraged with that run and could definitely get a tune off of that," said Bradford.

"Everybody picked it up in the final session and we're really encouraged that we did too," said Bradford, who noted that he was one of three riders tied at 7.10 with a 2. "Me, Joey DeSantis, and Chris Rivas are all separated by speed.

"We got our tuning calls in terms of gearing, but we missed on the clutch and spun the tire badly. We had a 1.12 60 foot time, one of the worst in the session. We were looking for a 7.0, and that was the round to get it. We had a good back half and would have run a mid 7.0 if we hadn't spun so bad.

"Now that we feel like we've got the gearing properly tuned, we can tune the clutch. Craig from Micro Blue Racing is in our camp this weekend and we're working on some special projects with him. We're really fortunate that he's selected to work with us.

"We're also really glad to have all our families and friends here this weekend. We're entertaining a whole bunch of people and having a really good time."
