McClenathan 11th Going into Saturday Qualifying at Vegas

LAS VEGAS, April 13, 2007 -- The Carrier Boyz Racing FRAM Top Fuel dragster got down the track on both Friday qualifying sessions at The Strip and Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and Cory McClenathan was 11th after a 4.590-second, 322.42-mph second lap.

McClenathan was happy to be in the provisional starting line-up, but "the outcome still wasn't what we were looking for," he said. "I'm glad we ran better but that isn't where we want to be either. Conditions were good last night but they will be different Saturday. We did run 272 (mph) to halftrack last night before the car slowed. When we did that before we ran 4.40s. We'll start working more aggressively in the clutch area and we'll be able to work on a tune-up for Sunday."

McClenathan opened the day with a 4.624 that was third at the time, but a lot of drivers improved in the cooler night session.
