SUMMIT RACING.COM NHRA NATIONALS FACT SHEET

WHAT: Ninth annual SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals, the fifth of 24 events in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Drivers in three categories -- Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock -- earn points leading to 2008 NHRA POWERade Series world championships.

WHERE: The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas. Track is located approximately 15 miles north of downtown Las Vegas off Interstate 15.

WHEN: Thursday through Sunday, April 10-13.

PURSE: Cash and contingency awards of more than $1.8 million.

SCHEDULE:

THURSDAY, April 10
Sportsman qualifying begins at 9 a.m.

FRIDAY, April 11
Sportsman qualifying and eliminations begin at 8 a.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 1 and 4 p.m.

SATURDAY, April 12
Sportsman eliminations begin at 8 a.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at noon and 3 p.m.

SUNDAY, April 13
Pre-race ceremonies, 10 a.m.
FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 11 a.m.

TELEVISION: Saturday, April 12, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will televise two hours of qualifying highlights at 8 p.m. (ET).

Sunday April 13, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will air NHRA Race Day, at 11 a.m  .
