MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Federal Mogul Dragster pilot Shelly Howard will have her eye on winning her first race of the year during this weekend's Autozone Nationals presented by Pennzoil at Memphis Motorsports Park, just outside of Memphis, Tenn.

The Tulsa, Okla., native went to her second straight semifinal finish in national event competition during last weekend's Advance Auto Parts Nationals. Howard now hopes to move one round further, and ultimately, into the winner circle.

Howard said, "Hopefully the car will be more consistent, and we can run some better numbers. I hope that I can do my job more consistently, and everything will come together."

After recording an elapsed time of a 5.511 in last Saturday's first round in Topeka, Howard feels confident about her chances in Memphis.

"The weather is going to be a big factor this weekend," Howard commented. "They are predicting a front to move through, and that can really affect things. It just depends on how hot or cold it is to what these cars can run."

"We're just sticking to our normal gameplan of every race being a new ballgame."
