Mike Ashley and Torco Announce Major Sponsorship with A&R Transport
JOLIET, Ill./ MELVILLE, NY - Mike Ashley, driver of the Torco Race Fuels, Inc. nitro Funny Car, announced a Major Associate Sponsorship agreement with A&R Transport, Inc., a leader in the trucking and transportation industry. In addition, the Joliet, Ill.-based company has been designated the Official Trucking Company of Torco Race Fuels, Inc. and will be featured on several other cars in the Torco/Knoll Gas stable.
"A&R is a very impressive company that focuses on high quality and customer service, just like Torco - so it is a great fit for all of us. I'm really excited to have them on our team and am looking forward to a long, rewarding relationship," Ashley said.
Mike Bedeker, owner of A&R Transport, said "Our association with Mike Ashley and Torco is sure to be a great marriage. I've been a drag racing fan since I was a child, and it's great to bring the power of nitro into our transportation world."
Ashley added, "I am excited about the opportunity to work with Mike; he's an excellent business and family man. When the NHRA visits Joliet, I'm looking forward to hosting him, his family and employees at the track."
The A&R Transport logo will be featured on Mike Ashley's Funny Car along with the Torco cars beginning with the next NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series event March 30-April 1 in the Houston, Texas area.
