Jason Line wants to visit winner's circle at sponsor's race

NORWALK, Ohio (June 26, 2007) -- Jason Line, driver of the KB Racing LLC Summit Racing Equipment Pontiac GTO, is looking to get back to business at this weekend's inaugural Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at a new venue -- the Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park -- the newly renovated track owned by Bill Bader and family.

"We have one of the greatest sponsors in all motorsports," said Line as he gets ready to vie for the Pro Stock title in Norwalk, Ohio. "The people from Summit Racing support not only KB Racing and other teams in drag racing but they support all types of motorsports. I appreciate being able to represent them.

"It will be great to see all the Summit folks at Norwalk from their headquarters in Tallmadge, Ohio and since I have never been to the winner's circle at a Summit Racing sponsored event, now would be a good time to do it. The odds are getting in my favor. Eventually, the tide got to turn and things are going to come around. What better place for it to happen than Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park.

"I'm excited about going to the track in Norwalk. I've tested there but never raced there, but I've heard a lot of good things about the track. From what I hear the Bader Family has poured a lot of dollars into the facility and I looking for to seeing the finish product.

Line has been to three finals rounds in 2007, winning one. For his career he has 13 wins in 27 final rounds.

After 10 events, Line is currently fourth in the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock point standings, 326 points behind his teammate, Greg Anderson, who leads the Pro Stock standings in the first segment of the Countdown to the Championship. QUALIFYING: Pro Stock begins qualifying for the inaugural Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals on Friday, June 29, with two sessions at 4 and 7 p.m. (Pro Stock Motorcycles run first, followed by Pro Stock cars). Qualifying for the Pro Stock classes conclude on Saturday (June 30), with two sessions at 12 noon and 2:30 p.m. (Pro Stock Motorcycles run first, followed by Pro Stock cars). Final eliminations for the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals begin for all teams at 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 1. All qualifying and eliminations times are local Norwalk time (ET) and subject to change.
