ELIMINATIONS AT PACIFIC RACEWAYS' LUCAS OIL DRAG RACING EVENT POSTPONED
KENT, Wash. -- The final results from the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event presented by Bret Chevrolet at Pacific Raceways have been postponed until August 25. Rain hampered the event all weekend and, in the end, officials could not finish the event before a county-imposed curfew took effect. At least two rounds in each category have been completed.
The final rounds of Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car will be completed during the NHRA national event here in July. At that time, rookie TAD driver Thomas Bayer, Fontana, Calif., will take on former division champion Joey Severance, Spanaway, Wash., and Dennis Taylor, Anaheim Hills, Calif., will square off against John Evanchuk, Edmonton, Alb., in the TAFC final.
NHRA Northwest division racers head to Eagle Point, Ore., for the next NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event. Champion Raceway will host the race June 29 and 30.
