Pomona, Calif. -- Sunday's final round results for the 41st annual AutoZone Winternationals at Pomona Raceway. The $1.9 million race is the first of 24 events in the $50 million NHRA Winston Drag Racing Series:
Top Fuel -- Darrell Russell, 4.665 seconds, 309.77 mph def. Mike Dunn, 5.560 seconds, 231.44 mph.
Funny Car -- Bruce Sarver, Pontiac Firebird, 4.887, 308.35 def. Tony Pedregon, Ford Mustang, 4.957, 284.39.
Pro Stock -- Kurt Johnson, Chevy Cavalier, 6.912, 200.44 def. Darrell Alderman, Dodge R/T, 6.936, 200.41.
Pro Stock Truck -- Randy Daniels, Chevy S-10, 7.527, 179.97 def. Greg Stanfield, S-10, 7.552, 179.49.
Federal-Mogul Dragster -- Rick Santos, 5.407, 261.47 def. Mark Hentges, 5.500, 259.46.
Federal-Mogul Funny Car -- Bucky Austin, Chevy Camaro, 5.813, 247.70 def. Bret Williamson, Chevy Corvette, 7.233, 131.34.
Comp Eliminator -- Jeff Lion, Pontiac Firebird, 8.614, 141.12 def. Andy Manna, Pontiac Trans Am, foul.
