Jeg Looks To Rebound On Day Two

Jeg Coughlin, Jr posted a run of 6.847 at 201.91 mph. The initial run of the weekend put the JEG'S Mail Order Chevy Cavalier temporarily in the No. 20 spot at the conclusion of the first day of qualifying for the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series season opener.

"We struggled down low in the run and it hurt our momentum the rest of the way down the track," explained Jeg. "The car started to shake through second and third gear. I know how important it is for us to have as much data as we can get from a run to help us improve the for the next time we go down the track. We have a baseline of data from the run to tune from and you can bet that our group will be busy tonight."

Jeg will start the second day of qualifying looking to break firmly into the quick-16 from the No. 20 position. Conditions are expected to be very similar tomorrow for the second of four scheduled qualifying sessions.
