Troy Looks To Improve
Troy Coughlin and his yellow and black JEG'S Mail Order Chevy Cavalier posted a run of 6.841 at 201.94 mph to start the weekend. He landed in the No. 15 spot by the end of the first of four scheduled qualifying sessions at the NHRA K&N Filters Winternationals.
"We started off 23rd in 60-foot and recovered from that point slower than we needed to," said Troy. "The car calmed down after the 330-foot clock. We will just have to take a look at all of the data between both of our JEG'S machines and put our best foot forward tomorrow. I am confident we will have a solid game plan to improve in the next qualifying session."
Troy will start the second day of qualifying looking to improve from the No. 15 position. The second qualifying session is scheduled for 1:30 PM (PT) tomorrow and conditions are expected to be very similar.
