It would be hard to argue against the fact that Team Jeg's is one of the hottest teams in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Brothers Jeg and Troy Coughlin have combined to win five of the seventeen races contested this season. Both drivers are looking to do their part to add to that number when they roll their yellow and black Jeg's Mail Order Chevrolet Cavaliers into action this weekend at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, PA.

Jeg Coughlin has put together an impressive string of races of late. The youngest of the four racing brothers has taken his Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavalier to the winner's circle at four of the past six races including the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals. The 2000 series Champion enters the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals the point leader in the POWERade Pro Stock Championship standings by a single point.

"We have obviously been able to build up a lot of positive momentum over the past several weeks," said Jeg. "Our success is a tribute to the hard work and dedication put forth by our entire group here at Team Jeg's. Maple Grove has typically been a great facility for us in recent years. Last year we set the national ET record (6.750), which still stands. Hopefully we can continue to pick up momentum and valuable points with a strong showing this coming weekend."

Troy Coughlin is also confident about his chances at Maple Grove next weekend. Troy earned his first professional NHRA national event win at this race one short season ago. Troy has been busy over the off weekend, testing his Jeg's Mail Order Chevrolet Cavalier in preparation for a shot at defending his 2001 title.

"Maple Grove is a pretty special place for me," explained Troy. "Scoring my first professional national event win there last year makes me even more excited about returning to Reading. We have struggled a bit over the past couple of races. However, I'm pretty confident that we got the bugs worked out this past week in testing. I would love nothing more than to defend next weekend and score my second win of the season."
