Seattle: Hillary Will Saturday summary

Will No. 6 qualifier at Pacific Raceways

KENT, Wash. (July 22, 2006) -- Hillary Will drove her KB Racing LLC-owned, Kalitta Motorsports-managed Top Fuel Dragster to the No. 6 position during qualifying for the 19th annual NHRA Schuck's Auto Supply Nationals.

Will's best of the four qualifying passes came in today's first session when she covered the hot Pacific Raceways track in 4.642 seconds at 314.83.

"Thus far this weekend everything is going okay," Will said following the four qualifying sessions. "We're please that under hot conditions that we were able to qualify in the top half of the field. Now we are focused on winning rounds tomorrow."

In tomorrow opening round, Will faces Doug Herbert who qualified No. 11 with a pass of 4.703 seconds at 308. 64 mph. In their only previous meeting, the rookie Will turned back Herbert in the fourth race of the season (Houston).

Will begins her quest for the Schuck's Auto Supply Nationals Top Fuel title on Sunday, July 23, with eliminations for all classes beginning at 11 a.m. Time is local Seattle time (PT) and subject to change at anytime.
