Seattle: Team Jeg's is refocused and ready

Two down and two to go for the new improved west-coast swing. Team Jeg's is focused on finishing the west-coast swing with a bang.

Jeg Coughlin currently is ready to strike from the No. 3 position in the NHRA Winston Championship. He has 850 points and is 71 points away from taking over the No. 2 position and is 183 away from the top spot.

"We are excited to come back to Seattle and get back to work. Our entire team is looking forward to finishing the swing on a winning note," said Jeg.

Troy Coughlin showed improvement in consistency last week through qualifying in Denver. The trend that started last weekend is one the team is looking forward to continuing through the swing.

"My car responded the best that it had all season last weekend in Denver. I was the most excited I have been about driving all year. To see my Jeg's Chevrolet Cavalier respond as well as it did brings new life to our program," explained Troy.

Troy is in the No. 19 spot with 334 points. He is 229 points from breaking back into the top ten. However, three of the drivers between him and the top ten will not be competing in the next two races.

"If we focus as a team and do our job, we can make a pretty serious dent in the points. Our goal is to be back in the top ten by the time Team Jeg's gets to the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals," said Troy.
