* Del Worsham is in sixth place in the NHRA Full Throttle Funny Car point standings; he trails fifth place by 13 points and fourth place by 64 points.

* Worsham has two wins this season; he visited victory circle at St. Louis and Bristol. Last weekend in Seattle, Worsham was the No. 12 qualifier and lost to John Force in the first round of eliminations.

* Last year in Sonoma, Worsham was the No. 6 qualifier but lost to Robert Hight in the first round of eliminations. Worsham won at Infineon Raceway in 2001

* Worsham has 24 wins in his Funny Car career; he is seventh on the NHRA's all-time Funny Car wins list trailing sixth place by just two wins.

Worsham prior to Sonoma:

"We definitely are not having the summer we all expected, but we continue to work as hard as we can to get back on track. We are all as focused and determined as ever to get our performance back to what we all know we are capable of achieving, and that has to start with qualifying. If we can get back to qualifying in the top half of the field that will be a good first step."
