Branch plans return to Riley Children's Hospital,

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- On Thursday, Top Alcohol Funny Car driver Tate Branch will return to Riley Hospital for Children as part of his 2003 Dream Tour. Tate visited the hospital last year, and will once again bring a message of encouragement and hope to kids and parents who are going through possibly the most difficult time in their lives.

"It's an amazing thing to see -- how a little one's eyes light up when I talk about racing, and then tell them that I spent a lot of time in hospitals when I was a kid, suffering with extreme asthma. I talk about how I used to dream about being a professional drag racer, and then let them know that dreams do come true."

On the track, Tate is looking to avenge his semi-final loss last year to Bob Newberry, and he is still searching for his first national event win.

"I think we really have things ready to go for this race. For some reason, we started getting very cautious in our set up, but [crew chief] David [Scheelk] and I have made plans to get things going. All I can say is, "Watch out. This hot rod is ready to run!'"

"I would love to take home a Wally here "This race is such a marathon. Winning here would be awesome," Branch said.

Tate is sponsored by Rapid Temps, a provider of temporary and permanent employment for qualified medical professionals across the United States. They can be reached at 1-800-581-4846 or www.rapidtemps.com.
