In Top Fuel, No. 10 Mello Yello Countdown playoff seed J.R. Todd led the field with a time of 3.828 seconds at 310.34 mph in his Optima Batteries dragster at the 2014 Pep Boys NHRA Carolina Nationals in Charlotte.
