The opening session of the NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series qualifying was interrupted when Jonathan Gray, making his second appearance in the Precision Turbo Camaro, made hard contact with the retaining wall just past the finish line after posting a 5.868 elapsed time at more than 257 mph, which was good for the No. 3 spot after the first of three scheduled qualifying sessions. Gray climbed out of the car unassisted.
