Tommy Johnson clinched the No. 1 qualifying position at the 2016 NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMax Dragway in Charlotte. It is Johnson's first No. 1 qualifier of the season and 14th of his career. In his first pass of eliminations, Johnson will line up against Bob Gilbertson.
