Jim Beaver and PMC Racing Looking for Win at Home
Parker, AZ - In a race that has seen PMC Racing and Jim Beaver reach both great accomplishment and extreme disappointment in recent years, Saturday's Best in the Desert Parker 425 will see the team try and capitalize on their large home field advantage. With the green flag dropping a mere 4 blocks from Jim Beaver's residence, the young star will try and fight off a dozen of the world's best desert racers in Best in the Desert's premier Trick Truck division.
"I am really looking for a good finish this year," commented Beaver. "Last year we had a fluke problem that took us out of the race, but the two previous years I had second place finishes, so I will be looking for nothing less than a win."
Saturday's event also marks PMC Racing's 10th season with Goodyear Tires. This relationship has seen PMC Racing rise to the top of class 8 racing, and recently move up to compete in the premier Trick Truck and Trophy Truck divisions of desert racing.
"We have always strived for longevity with our sponsors," explained Jim Beaver. "This year marks our 10th with Goodyear, and next year will mark our 30th season our trucks have been powered by Ford. Goodyear sponsored my dad for a good part of his career, and I have been fortunate enough to have them for my entire career thus far. I think a victory at this race would be great for both Goodyear and PMC racing."
In addition to Goodyear Tires, PMC Racing and Jim Beaver also enjoy partnerships with Ford Trucks, MSD Ignition, King Shocks, Tube Service Company, RLH Communications, RiverInfo.com, Sparco USA, Motorcraft/Parts Mart, Parker Motor Company, and Penn Sign Company.
