Solar Racing, competitor in the Stock-Full Class in both SCORE International and Best in the Desert, is pleased to announce a new sponsorship by L.N. Curtis & Sons.
L.N. Curtis & Sons provides emergency responder and fire fighting equipment in thirteen Western states and to the U.S. Government worldwide. Sales, distribution and service centers are located in Oakland, California; Salt Lake City, Utah; Seattle, Washington; Los Angeles, California; and Phoenix, Arizona. The company and its family of employees are proud to be associated with the fire service and America's bravest.
Their long history of providing equipment and service to fire, safety, and law enforcement lends itself well to the demands of off-road racing.
L.N. Curtis & Sons provides a variety of equipment to Solar Racing. Some of the items include fire resistant garments such as the Carbon-X balaclavas worn by driver and co-rider, as well as fueling personnel, as well as the fire suits and aprons worn by the fuelers.
In addition, other items such as chest radio holsters for pit personnel, safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and a variety of first responder type equipment have been provided by L.N. Curtis.
Since our races are in the remote areas of the Southwestern deserts and the unforgiving Baja peninsula, it is imperative our drivers and crew have the very best safety equipment available. Quite often, it is other racers and teams that are the first responders.
Unlike most other race series where medical is within distances measured in yards, help can literally be hundreds of miles away. We feel fortunate a company like L.N. Curtis & Sons would step up and accommodate our safety needs.
