Free Practice.

In the morning warm up, Michael's race engine developed a problem and he lost the majority of the session, in which he had planned to try a new race set up.

Race

Team 5Zigen replaced Michaels engine with a test unit and made preparations for the race. From the start Michael made his normal excellent getaway, but was blocked on the outside of the circuit allowing his team mate Hattori to gain an advantage.

Settling into the rhythm of the race Michael retained his starting position, and was then promoted when the leaders where given a stop and go penalty for jumping the start. Hattori then pitted early and took a gamble to survive later in the race with used tyres.

Michael continued on and after his pit stop returned to the track in fourth position, where he would ultimately finish.

"The race was not very good for me, we lost time this morning, which I needed, and the car was never really how I like it all weekend. Naoki drove a good race and took a strong win, but we have some points and will see how things progress for the rest of the season. " Michael commented. <pre>
