Luciano Bacheta and Dane Cameron scored pole positions for tomorrow's Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy races at Snetterton on a day when the series' youngsters dominated.

In the first session, 16-year-old Bacheta made just one run in order to conserve his tyres, but set a time of 1 minute 5.578 seconds to take pole comfortably. Lining up alongside him is Alex Brundle, son of former F1 driver Martin, who like Bacheta is also racing a single-seater for the first time. Stephen Young and Team USA Scholarship driver Dane Cameron were next up, with Aaron Steele and Team USA's birthday boy Robert Podlesni completing the top six. A super session for the younger drivers ended with five teenagers in the top half-dozen.

Later in the afternoon, the qualifying session for Round Two was a much closer affair. Steele headed the times for much of the session before US Formula Ford star Dane Cameron shot to the top of the timesheets in the dying moments with a 1:05.544. Bacheta had to settle for third behind Steele, followed by Gino Ussi, Brundle and Chris Bell.

Tomorrow's race day will feature three races, with the grid for the final 16-lap event decided by each driver's fastest lap time from Round Two.
