Giacomo Piccini pleased with tests and Imola Racing.

Giacomo Piccini made a solid performance today on the Misano race track with the Italian Formula 3 team Imola Racing. The two sessions of tests today ended with a really positive balance both for Giacomo and the team who tested with a Dallara -F302 Opel Spiess.

Together with the Imola Racing team, Giacomo worked on the set up of the car and concentrated on getting the car in optimal condition for the first race of the season which will take place on March 30, 2003.

Giacomo Piccini:

"Overall, I'm happy with today's results. I'm very pleased with the team and the work done today .This morning, we tested the car with a set of old tyres. I immediately had a good feeling with the car and obtained positive results. My best lap time in the morning was 1.27.50 .In this afternoon's session , we instead used new tyres on the car. Initially, I had a few problems with this because the car had a tendency to understeer. This was immediately resolved thanks to the work done with the team who found the perfect set up for me. In the end, I believe that I made significant progress and could say that I have a good chance in the upcoming season."

Best lap time of the day: 1.26.50
