IF3: Piccini Friday's Misano practice report

An intense free practice session in Misano for Giacomo Piccini.

Yesterday's testing and today's official free practice session in Misano, have allowed Giacomo Piccini to gain confidence with the car, the team and the race track. The lack of serious technical problems gave Giacomo the opportunity to prepare himself at best for his debut in the Italian Formula 3 championship.

Since Thursday Morning, Piccini has constantly lowered his lap time, proving that he can be amongst the fastest drivers in this category.

Giacomo Piccini:

"Thursday was dedicated to working on the ideal set up of the car for this circuit. Although my time on Thursday morning wasn't one of my best times, in the afternoon, as soon as we fine tuned the set up, I was able to finish the session in fourth place with 1.26.45.

The free practice session of today unfortunately didn't go as we had hoped. Together with the team, we are trying to understand what went wrong today, seeing that the set up of the car was the same as yesterday's. We are however, hopeful that everything will go well for the qualifying session. Tomorrow ,we will definitely work hard to have competitive times again."
