ADM dominates Race Sunday in Imola th ADM Motorsport's new arrival Earl Bamber won the 14 round of Formula Master on the rebuilt Imola Grand Prix track. The 18-year-old "Kiwi" dominated the Sunday race ahead of Josef Kralj and Fabio Leimer. Tomas Pivoda showed some significant progress in qualifying, even if he was judged to have set his best time under yellow flag conditions.

Renato Melchioretto (Team Principal): "I think we did a good job over the whole race weekend and after we were close to winning in Brands Hatch this victory in the Autodromo Enzo è Dino Ferrari tastes really sweet. Earl was already strong on Saturday and definitely faster than the group in front of him. However, he was clever enough not to take any risks and concentrate on the race Sunday. And our strategy went well: Once he got past Kral he easily built up a gap of 5 seconds and he was never under pressure during the whole race. Tomas and Michele had an eventful race weekend unfortunately not with a happy end but as for our Czech rookie driver I was very surprised with his qualifying performance: It is quite obvious that there is a lot of potential and it will be our duty to push him to the limits."

Earl Bamber (car #17, P7/P1): "The Imola circuit is really something special with all its history and to win here in my first ever international Formula Master event means quite a lot to me. The team did a really good job and the car had a fantastic set-up for this track. I think we could have gone even faster. As New Zealands Rookie driver in A1 Grand Prix it was a very good opportunity to race over here in Europe and I am very thankful for that."

Tomas Pivoda (car #8, P19/P16): "After a terrible first free session in wet conditions I just th pushed as hard as I could and managed to qualify in 18 position, which was quite strong, considering that there were at least four experienced guys behind me. However, this first highlight was unfortunately spoiled as I was finally penalised for having obtained my best time under yellow flags. The two races were more ore less a test for me after my car had to survive two incidents."

Michele Caliendo (car #22, out): "I have ruined my race weekend already in qualifying when I went off the track in Piratella. It is always difficult to avoid contacts with other cars when you are starting from the last rows on the grid and this was definitely the problem here for me. My lap times in race two were quite ok, but that's only a poor consolation."

The team is now preparing for the last championship round in the Autodromo Nazionale in Monza, whereas their former number one driver Norbert Siedler has decided to completely focus on his sportscar programme with respect to his plans for 2009.
