IFM: Series Monza practice one report

VAN DER DRIFT STARTS WEEKEND AT THE TOP

JD Motorsport's Chris van der Drift set the fastest time in this morning's free practice for the last Formula Master rounds of the season in Monza this weekend.

The 22-year-old set a best time of 1:47.311, ahead of ISR's Tim Sandtler who completed his best lap in 1:47.340. Italian Daniel Mancinelli was third fastest with a best time of 1:47.536 for Scuderia Fama.

Six new drivers took to the track this morning; Britain's Oliver Oakes was the fastest newcomer with Euronova Racing and set a best time of 1:48.235. ADM Motorsport's Federico Scionti completed his best lap in 1:48.937, whilst Simon Trummer set his best time of 1:48.964 for Iris Project.

Euronova Racing's Riccardo Cinti set his fastest lap in 1:50.438, ahead of Mihai Marinescu's best time of 1:50.519 for Pro Motorsport. Trident Racing's Dominik Wasem completed his best lap in 1:57.558.
