NA-F2000: Brian Sellers' reflections

Brian Sellers Reflects on the Formula Ford Zetec Cooper Championship Series.

Florida, March 29, 2005 - While looking back to his championship win in the Formula Ford Zetec Cooper Championship Series in 2002, Brian Sellers recently reflected on his past experiences and talked about his recent drive in a Porsche TRG at the Homestead, Florida track.

Early success came to Sellers as he piloted his Porsche TRG to both the quickest time during the practice session then taking the pole position. Unfortunately his second place running position while racing was not to continue. Sellers said, " a factory water tube popped off the engine and we had to pit for repairs. The repair was made but we finished 8 laps down."

The experience gained during the race did not go unnoticed by Sellers. " I found it very challenging to start over. It was very refreshing to start something new."

Although Sellers isn't 100% sure where he will go from here, he is certain about the high caliber of racing in the Formula Ford Zetec Cooper Championship Series. Sellers commented that " Zetec racing prepared me for everything I have done. Jon Baytos taught me valuable lessons about the business and politics of the sport. They are some of the best people I have had the opportunity to work with."

At age 22, Sellers recommends the Formula Ford Zetec Cooper Championship Series to all serious up and coming drivers. "It is the best place for young drivers to go. Important people in racing follow the series closely to identify the best of the best of the next generation of race drivers."

Sellers, like all drivers, is welcoming all sponsors for the upcoming season. With his previous results and desire to win, he is a sure bet to get the attention of many race fans.
