BARBER DODGE PRACTICE SESSION

Rino Does What He Always Does: Wait 'Til the Last Minute RENO, Nev. (Oct. 17) - With one minute to go in the 30-minute SCCA Pro Racing Barber Dodge Pro Series practice session for Round 11 of the 1997 championship held on the 1.27-mile street course surrounding the Reno Hilton, points leader Rino Mastronardi put in the fastest lap of the 23-car field. He had been lingering around seventh quick before he turned his 1:01.638, displacing title protaganist Derek Hill who had posted a 1:01.949.
