CUP CAR TEAM EXPANDS WITH MANSON APPOINTMENT

Cup Car Australia continues to grow with the announcement today that Tony Manson will be joining the team in 2006.

Manson will bring a wealth of motorsport knowledge to Cup Car Australia, with his previous experience as Operations Manager for V8 Supercars Australia over the past five years.

Cup Car Australia currently has the management rights to the Wright Patton Shakespeare Carrera Cup Australia, and is looking to expand its motorsport portfolio.

Manson has been appointed to the role of Special Projects Manager, with a brief to identify and develop opportunities for Cup Car Australia within all forms of motorsport.

Cup Car Australia CEO Jamey Blaikie today welcomed the appointment of Manson to his growing team.

"We've spent the past three years developing and growing the Wright Patton Shakespeare Carrera Cup Australia into a successful category, and now it's time to take the next step," said Blaikie.

"I want to maintain my focus in continuing to grow Carrera Cup in Australia, and Tony's appointment will allow us to evaluate other opportunities in the business of motorsport.

"It's a fairly wide brief that is not necessarily limited to Australia, but one that will focus on our continued growth.

"I welcome Tony to the team and considerate it some what of a coup for Cup Car Australia to attract someone of Tony's wealth of experience and knowledge in motorsport. I'm sure he will add significant strength to our management team."

The newly appointed Special Projects Manager Tony Manson is delighted with the appointment and is looking forward to commencing his new role at the end of January 2006.

"After many years working in Australia and Europe in motorsport, I'm looking forward to opportunities and challenges presented by Cup Car Australia," said Manson.

"The organisation has a good existing structure in place and the opportunities for expansion are exciting for both Cup Car Australia and myself."

Before V8 Supercars Australia, Manson developed his experience with seven years in Europe working in categories including Formula 1, Formula 3000 and Formula 3. He also has experience working with importers in the Australian motoring industry.
