Mistral Racing driver Roger Feghali and co-driver Bruno Brissart came second overall and first in Group N on the 9th round of the European Rally Championship of the 26th Elpa Rally - Greece, which finished in the resort of Porto Carras.

Once again this is a remarkable victory for the Lebanese driver, considering his limited experience on gravel.

Greek driver Aris Vovos, driving a Subaru Impreza WRC, finished first with the total time of 3:17:11.6 (3:28 ahead of Feghali).

Feghali and Brissart started the final leg with one aim: hold on to the second overall position; since throughout the first day of the rally the Mistral Racing crew fought a tense battle with Greek driver Panagiotis Hatzitsopanis, driving a Subaru Impreza Group N. Feghali pushed hard to kill off any chance of being caught by Hatzitsopanis.

But Hatzitsopanis retirement on the opening stage of leg 2, (SS9 Â^Ö Parthenonas II), gave Feghali the opportunity to slow down his pace a bit.

After the departure of Hatzisopanis, Antony Warmbold at the wheel of a Toyota Corolla WRC, became Feghalis other nearest threat as he attacked to climb up to second place. But the Toyota Corolla was well over a minute behind Mistral Racing Mitsubishi Lancer.

Feghali said, "I am extremely happy with the result. The rally was very good. The first leg was rough, just like the Acropolis and the second reminded us of the Rally of Finland, with very fast stages. At first I was hoping to finish in first five. I drove very fast both days, and I proved that I am fast on gravel too. This is a major achievement for me, and for the team, of course. The car and the team were just perfect. We had a little problem with the brakes, but nothing important"

Team Principal Freddy Zraick said: "It is fantastic! once again we have achieved an excellent result." He added: "Roger has a promising future, he has shown more than once that he has the talent to compete against the best rally drivers in the world".
