EU: Andy Warmbold Tempere rally summary

Antony Warmbold and Gemma Price had chosen to take part in the Pirelli Rally in Tampere in order to prepare the Neste Finland Rally. In front of specialist of this rally, Antony and Gemma finished the event on third position. In the first special stage, Antony adopted the same rhythm as the official Ford driver, Janne Tuohino. In the second special stage, Antony came into a downpour; therefore he decided to slow down during this stage. After few modifications on the anti-roll bar and on the height of the car, in order to improve the behavior of his Ford Focus WRC02, the young German driver try to go up in the overall classification. Finally, Antony Warmbold and Gemma Price crossed the finishing line in a satisfactory 3rd position, while having constantly signed very encouraging times.

Antony Warmbold " We are really happy because the car is now very good, our first goal here was to work on the car. We adopted the Argentina set-up that we made improve for the specificity of the fast and bumpy Finnish roads. We did not take useless risks for this rally which was for us a huge testing session, however we are happy because our times were quite close to Janne's, who used the last evolution of the Ford Focus WRC. It is always cool to be on the podium, especially before a fantastic race such as the Neste Finland Rally "
