Franz Wittmann/ Klaus Wicha complete three problem-free turns at shakedown

For the Interwetten Racing drivers the main goal remains to reach the finish

For Franz Wittmann/Klaus Wicha (Peugeot 207 S2000) a new chapter in the IRC seris opens with the Barum Rally in the Zlin area. On Friday, the Interwetten Racing duo completed three turns on the 4,72 kilometres long course between the towns of Komarov and Pohorelice on still dry surface. Wittmann reached his best result right on the first turn by 3:05,7 minutes, thereby finishing among the top 15.

Franz Wittmann on this: "The car runs perfectly and and the chassis setting fits, as well. We know where and why we lose time on the top. Therefore we are quite confident regarding our fourth assignment in the IRC this year."

The Interwetten Racing duo hopes for rain in the next two days since the power difference between the works and private teams wouldn't come into play that much. This wish could be fulfilled if one believes the weather forecast. On Friday, when the rally starts with the town circuit in Zlin, it already started to pour in the afternoon.

"I also like to drive when the sun is shining, of course, but rain should make us a little stronger. Our goal nevertheless remains to reach the finish, if possible among the top 15 in this very competitive S2000 field (28 cars)", says the Interwetten Racing driver.

Franz Wittmann will take up the town circuit on Friday, where the starting order will be toppled, at 22:48.
