Andrew Nesbitt adds another famous scalp to his list of victories by winning the Jim Clark Rally. But it was probably his toughest victory to date as Derek McGarrity led the Rally from the start to SS9 until unfortunately a broken prop-shaft ended his charge. Leading British Championship driver Jonny Milner inherited the lead and he and Nesbitt battled for the next 5 stages. Nesbitt eventually took the lead after Milner punctured only to fall foul of a clutch problem with his Subaru. He lost 30 seconds on a road penalty and dropped time on SS15 and SS16. Nesbitt then stormed over the final 4 stages to win by 2 minutes 37 seconds. We will do it all again at the Manx International Rally commencing the first weekend in August.
