MONTERMINI AND PAVONE COMPLETE RACING TEAM EDIL CRIS' LINEUP FOR IMOLA
Racing Team Edil Cris reached an agreement with Andrea Montermini and Mattia Pavoni for the race at Imola scheduled for this weekend as the season opener of the International GT Open 2009. The two drivers will share the drive of a F430 GT2 Ferrari holding the number one.
Montermini has an enviable palmares: absolute winner of the International GT Open 2008, he also won GTA class in 2007 and achieved several victories in sport and GT races. Between 1990 and 1996 he has constantly involved with Formula One, both in the role of official driver as well as tester with Scuderia Ferrari.
Pavoni's racing formation, after karting, has involved German F.3. and F. Master. In 2007 he made his debut in GT races in the Italian Championship behind the wheel of a GT3 Aston Martin. Last year he took part in the GT2 class on a F430 Ferrari.
