SCCS: John Martin SCCS Summit Point preview

John Martin III leads SCCS back to Summit Point Raceway.

ROCKY MOUNT, VA - John Martin III, a 34 year-old racer from Cornelius , NC is looking forward to running his TNR Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carlo again at Summit Point Raceway. " The first time we were at Summit was only the second time we were in race trim with our car. I had a pretty good run going until a off in corner 10 had me fighting back to a fourth place finish in June", stated Martin. We believe that we have the package together for this weekend".

John has 3 victories this year in the Stock Car Championship Series(SCCS) at Lowe's, Atlanta and most recently at the VIRginia International Speedway and currently sits in the third position in the standings.

The TNR team which fields the car for John Martin III has another car ready for the last two races this season. Roger Brown, from TNR stated "we are real happy with the way John has been progressing with the car this year. We have been working on the second car for a while and everything has come together for Summit . Ed DuCoin from Marlton , NJ will be the driver for our number 20 Chevrolet Monte Carlo . We are glad to be competing with SCCS this year, the growth and professionalism of the series and the competitors was just what we were looking for and we are committed to the series for 2003 with our two cars".

The Stock Car Championship Series will be at Summit Point Raceway November 2-3, 2002 for race number 7 of 8 of the 2002 season.

SCCS Practice will be at 8:20 and 10:15 am
SCCS Qualifying at 2:15pm

SCCS cars on the grid at 12:00 with the race at 12:30
