Formula SCCA Points Leader To Battle For $20,000 in Spec Racer

ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. (May 26, 2004) -Current Formula SCCA points leader Elivan Goulart has announced he will take part in the KML Spec Racer Challenge 20th Anniversary Race, May 28-29, 2004.

Taking place Memorial Day Weekend at Lime Rock Park, the Spec Racer Challenge race will feature 32 Spec Racer cars battling for the win and the $20,000 purse.

The current points leader in Formula SCCA, having scored four wins, Goulart will race against some of North America's premier Spec Racer drivers. Joining Goulart in the race, are Chris Dyson, a multiple race winner in the American Le Mans Series, Andy Bentinet-Smith, the defending race winner and Richard Spicer, a two-time Spec Racer SCCA National Champion.

Racing a Spec Racer for the first-time, Goulart's car will be prepped by fellow Formula SCCA competitors Motion Dynamics Racing and be sponsored by Dolphin Motorsports. Motion Dynamics, which will prepare upwards of 14 cars for the race, has a long history of success in Spec Racer, having won numerous races.
