Walker Evans of Riverside, California, who unofficially finished 10th in the June 30, 1995 Tecate Trophy-Truck race, was disqualified after a month-long review of videotapes and statements by officials and other witnesses by the SCORE International executive board. Sal Fish, SCORE chief executive officer, said the penalty was assessed against Evans for "not conducting himself in a manner consistent with that degree of caution and professional judgement that is expected and should be exercised by participants in the start-finish checkpoint area at this event."

Only the first two positions were declared official after the event. Paul Simon of Fallbrook, CA., was declared the winner and Jason Baldwin of Laguna Beach, CA., was certified as econd place finisher at the event. Unofficial finishers behind Baldwin had not been announced pending the outcome of the investigation.

Third place went to Ivan Stewart of Alpine, CA., who was judged not to be at fault even though there was contact between the trucks of Evans and Stewart.
