Perris Auto Speedway And Sprint Car Racing Association Announce 3 Year Pact
SCRA Extends "Home Track" Status To "The PAS" To Next Century
Perris, Calif.-(August 17) In a joint announcement, Sprint Car Racing Association President, Glenn Howard and Oval Entertainment, LLC Vice President, Ken Kazarian revealed a new three year commitment between SCRA and Oval to stage championship Sprint Car events at Perris Auto Speedway. The announcement, made from the start/finish line right in front of the main grandstands during a quick break in the racing action, was as wildly cheered from the pits as it was from the stands. The very welcome "surprise" had been kept a secret from everyone outside the negotiation teams. With eighteen SCRA races in 1996, Perris Auto Speedway has become SCRA's home track...and we are very pleased to tell fans and racers alike that we're going to be racing here for the next three years," said Howard. "This will assure 'The PAS'' status as the premier regularly scheduled 1/2 mile Sprint Car racing facility in Southern california," added Kazarian. Also assisting in making the announcement were Operations Manager, Don Kazarian and Competition Director, Norman "Bubby" Jones. Both expressed their excitement about the prospects of an SCRA/PAS association extending right into the century. Perris Auto Speedway is located in the Lake Perris Fairgrounds, two miles East of Interstate Highway 215, just off the Ramona Expressway. reserved seats, "Season Tickets", and special discount group rate ticket packages are now available for patrons of "The PAS", where there are always plenty of great seats for EVERY event. (For group rates, give Lola a call at (909)943-4006.) A special automated phone line: (800)976-RACE may be called for an update on each event as it comes on line...Fans are encouraged to use the toll-free "Hot Line" to hear the latest information on event times and to be made aware of any special promotions that may be in effect.
