Alvaro Parente ready for the weekend's great match

After his fantastic showing at Spa-Francorchamps, Alvaro Parente will defend Futebol Clube do Porto's colours at the Portuguese round of the Superleague Formula, held next weekend at Autodromo do Estoril.

In the Belgian GP2 round, the young driver from Oporto showed all his ability, after dominating the Saturday's race to an emphatic win from the pole-position in a circuit that it's considered one of the most selective of the world.

It's with confidence that Alvaro Parente will approach a new competition for him, the Superleague Formula. He expects to fight for the top positions, though he never raced in the singleseaters that are used in this championship. "This will be a different challenge; I don't know the championship or the car, something that will make my job harder during the weekend. However, as usual, I'll give my best and I'll try to achieve a good result", said the driver supported by Soccerade, Delta, TMN, Aurora Group, Geotur and Cision.

A big supporter of the Portuguese football team himself, the twenty-four years old driver is very pleased to be able to wear the blue and white shirt in the Portuguese event of the championship. "I'm very happy to defend the Futebol Clube do Porto's colours; it's my football team since I can remember. I think that the Superleague Formula is a good concept and I'm looking forward to drive the blue & white car. Besides, It's an opportunity to drive at Portugal, something that pleases me and that doesn't happen since 2007", underlined Alvaro Parente.
