Atech Reid took the top two steps in the second race of the weekend in Navarra, with Alvaro Parente (FC Porto) taking race honors and Esteban Guerrieri (PSV Eindhoven) taking second. In an action packed 45 minute race which had spectators sitting on the edge of their seats, Esteban and Alvaro demonstrated that they had pace, both qualifying for the 'dash for cash' Super final, which saw Esteban securing PSV Eindhoven's second podium of the weekend, taking third and a cool 50,000 Euro pay check.

"I am very happy with the weekend's result, especially after qualifying 14th yesterday. Esteban stated. I am a naturally competitive and assertive driver on track and I am pleased that I was able to make it into the Super Final and then take third position for PSV Eindhoven and Atech Reid."

Changing weather conditions, racing incidents and a very long safety car period also added to the spectacle of the second race of the weekend; with all Atech Reid drivers displaying a huge amount of grit, determination and high levels of fitness. There was only 25 minutes in between each race, meaning the drivers had little time to rest before being called back onto the grid.

"It has been a fantastic event in Navarra this weekend for Superleague Formula. Anthony Reid, Team Principal of Atech Reid stated. It has been really tough on the teams with the short turn around period in between races, but somehow we were able to pull it together. The boys have worked really hard and have earned themselves a well deserved beer."

Frederic Vervisch's (Liverpool FC) weekend started off brilliantly as did his race season, but he was plagued with bad luck and minor technical issues in both races last weekend; consequently ending his season on a less than desirable note. Still, the Dutchmen has proved that he is a major contender in the Superleague Formula championship and will be one to watch in 2011.

"I would have liked to have finished this weekend with a podium and we had the chance to do that in race one when we were in third. But, we had a minor technical issue with the front wing in race one and then we had a gearbox failure. Stated Vervisch. It is a bit unfortunate, but we need to also look at the positives from the season."

Vervisch has been on the podium numerous times since taking over from the previous driver of the Liverpool FC car, James Walker in the latter part of the season, and has fitted in very nicely with the Atech Reid team. He has also been in several Super Finals, winning the Portuguese round last month.

Alvaro Parente demonstrated that he had pace over the weekend, the Portuguese driver qualified 7th, but was able to put it together and take the win in race two.

"It was great to take the win in the second race. I had a little bit of time in between the Super Final and the end of race two to enjoy it, but not much time! Parente chuckled. It was a good end to the year."

Yelmer finished his season in style, capping the top 5 in the championship table. In all, it has been a very successful year for the Atech Reid team. Having hit the ground running early this year, the team has slowly but surely established itself as one of the teams to watch out for in the coming years of the Superleague Formula Championship.
