All Stars to Invade East Bay again in 2003.

TOLEDO, OH - The 27th annual Sprint Winternationals at the newly renamed East Bay Raceway Park will again be sanctioned by the All Star Circuit of Champions in 2003.

In a joint announcement by Al Varnadore, new owner of the facility, and the All Star management team, the dates of February 12-15, 2003 have been set for the renewal of this prestigious event. In a proactive move designed to encourage a record car count, the record four-day purse in excess of $152,000 has been restructured throughout all positions for the Saturday finale. This move was made to provide participants with an improved payoff.

The Saturday finale, scheduled for 50 laps, will pay $15,000 to the winner. Positions 2-26 have undergone a dramatic purse improvement, with $1,000 offered to start the event. The C and B Main payoffs on all four nights have also been adjusted to reflect a more equitable purse structure.
