ALLSTAR: Hoosier Fall Classic preview 2001-09-15

LAWRENCEBURG, IN - What do the names Kinser, Hewitt, Huntley, Blaney, Hood, Lasoski, Wright, Smith and Jacobs have in common? They are all past winners of the All Star Circuit of Champions sprint car series Hoosier Fall Classic. This year's edition at Lawrenceburg Speedway pays $10,000 to win for a 50-lap contest.

The 2001 edition of the 19th annual Hoosier Fall Classic is set for Sat., Sept. 15 at the Legendary Lawrenceburg facility on the fairgrounds in downtown Lawrenceburg, IN. Action on the high-banked quarter mile oval is always fast and furious, with Danville, Indiana's Danny Smith the defending race champion.

Past Hoosier Fall Classic winners include Lee Osborne (83), Jack Hewitt (84), Tim Green (85), Dave Blaney (86), Kelly Kinser and Kevin Huntley (87, Twin 25s), Joe Gaerte (88), Robbie Stanley (89), Kelly Kinser (90, 96), Rickey Hood (91), Huntley (92), Mark Kinser (93), Danny Lasoski (94), Gary Wright (97), Kenny Jacobs (98) and Kemenah (99). The 1995 event was rained out. This will be the only visit by the All Stars to the state of Indiana this season.
