Lance Dewease Returns to All-Star Circuit After Wet Outlaws Week

FAYETTEVILLE, PA. --Lance Dewease and the No. 30c Catoctin Motorsports will be heading for Grandview Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa., staying with the World of Outlaws sprint car series after a disappointing and wet week in Pennsylvania with the Outlaws.

We weren't really all that good" [at Williams Grove] commented the personable racer. "We were just kind of OK." In the Outlaws race at Williams Grove, Dewease had "a decent heat and just missed qualifying by one position." In the B-Main, he started last and raced his way to a fifth-place finish, but only the top four finishers in the heat transferred to the A-Main.

Before the team makes the haul south to the Outlaws race at the Dirt Track at Charlotte on Friday evening, they plan to race on the third-mile black clay oval of Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pa. in the track's "Thunder on the Hill" sprint car race on Wednesday night. "It's normally a pretty fun place to race on," says Dewease about Grandview.

After Grandview, the team leaves for Charlotte on Thursday: "we're coming in on Friday and leaving Friday night," he predicts. Dewease admits that the track at Charlotte is one he enjoys racing on. The team plan to race at Fremont, Ohio on Saturday with the All-Star Circuit of Champions. Dewease leads the ASCoC point standings by 1562 points over second place Dale Blaney with 1397.

Following the ASCoC races at Fremont, Dewease at the No. 30c Catoctin crew head to Selinsgrove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway for the Keystone Cup races on Sunday and Monday of the Memorial Day weekend.
